Film

Thanks to cooperation with The Safety in Bear Country Society and financial support from Alertis - fund for bear and nature conservation in 2005 we were able to complete production of the official Slovak version of the highly acclaimed film "Staying Safe in Bear Country". The original production was presented by The Safety in Bear Country Society in cooperation with The International Association for Bear Research and Management. It represents the consensus opinion of leading experts on bear behaviour and its relevance to human safety. The film provides information to help reduce human injuries and property damage from brown and black bears. Although the film was made in North America, most of the advice it contains also applies to Slovakia and other places with bears.

VHS/DVD, 48 min.

The film consists of 8 parts:

  1. Introduction
  2. Bear biology
  3. Differences between species

  8. Summary and conclusion
