"In the Tracks of Bears"

This publication is an aid for teachers in lessons on biology, ethics and environmental education as well as for other educators such as leaders of outdoor or nature clubs and free time centres. Individual activities are suitable for children and youth from 8 to 16 years old.

Its 26 pages provide a wealth of information and interesting facts on the life of bears in Slovakia and the rest of the world, where they live, their diet, signs of them in the wild, their evolution and the relationships of various human cultures to these animals. What is myth and what is reality? What is recommended during an encounter with a bear? How to track animals in the forest is explained. There are stories, crosswords, puzzles, attractive drawings and photographs as well as a game and other activities to stimulate creativity, empathy and problem solving. Chapters can be copied easily and the exercises completed on work sheets. For teachers, methodological suggestions and an answer section are included.

Its 36 pages provide a wealth of information and interesting facts on the life of wolves in Slovakia and the rest of the world, where they live, their diet, signs of them in the wild, their evolution and the relationships of various human cultures to these animals. What is myth and what is reality? Is the wolf a danger to people? There are stories, crosswords, puzzles, attractive drawings and photographs as well as a quiz and other activities to stimulate creativity, empathy and problem solving. Chapters can be copied easily and the exercises completed on work sheets. For teachers, an answer section is included.
